How To Fix Bangla Font Problem in Firefox


Most of the Bangali Firefox users face this problem after downloading the browser.  Bangla texts of websites appears to be broken. This problem occurs for not having the appropriate font installed. So, here are some solutions for this problem. Follow step by step to fix the problem. If the first method does not work, try another.
                                                  Bangla broken font problem in Firefox

METHOD 1:
1.  Go to ‘Options’ menu in Firefox.
2.  Now go to Content tab and then go to fonts and color>>Advanced
3.  Change fonts like this:

 
Fonts for: Bengali
Proportional: Serif
Serif: Siyam Rupali
Sans-serif: Siyam Rupali
Monospace: Siyam Rupali
Fallback Character Encoding: Western (ISO-8859-1)

4. Hit OK button and you’re done. Restart the browser and then you will be able to see clear Bangla texts.

You can also use other Bangla fonts like Shonar Bangla, Kalpurush, Nirmala etc instead of Siyam Rupali.



METHOD 2:

If you cannot find any of the above mentioned Bangla fonts then you don’t have those fonts installed in your computer. On that case, first you have to install the font.

1. Download any Bangla font you like from HERE

2. Save the font file to Local Disk C:\Windows\Fonts folder.

3. Apply METHOD 1.

You can use this cool add-on to find out which websites is using which fonts: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/fontinfo/
